It simply means making a conscious effort to minimize negative impact and encourage positive impact on our environment, both inside and out. From increasing energy efficiency to reducing dependence on natural resources, living green is easier than you think and can actually save you money!

	Roof coverings that are more durable reduce the frequency of roof replacement.  Our shingles come with a 25-year warranty.
	Energy-efficient windows that incorporate advanced technologies, like low-emittance flow (LoE2) glass coatings, keep heat inside in the winter and outside in the summer.  Silver Line Windows, an Andersen Corporation company, continuously strives for their facilities, processes and products to meet or exceed all applicable environmental government regulations.  Andersen is a charter member of the U.S. Green Building Council (USGBC).
	High efficiency furnace and air conditioner save money and energy. All houses will include 92.1% efficient Carrier gas furnaces with programmable thermostat along with high efficiency 13 Seer air conditioners with environmentally friendly Puron® refrigerant.
	ENERGY STAR Appliances - Whirlpool® and KitchenAid® appliances that are ENERGY STAR rated, consume less energy than most appliances.
	Nu-Wool® Insulation is a naturally green product that uses up to 40% less energy than conventionally insulated homes.  This saves you up to 40% on your energy bills!  Nu-Wool homes are also quieter inside because the density deadens external noise.
	GreenGuard® RainDrop™ Housewrap utilizes moisture management technology that acts as water barrier diverting bulk water straight down channels to the base of exterior wall. This house wrap has threads in it that create an air gap, allowing air to flow behind the siding so that humidity can escape.
	Our Foundations are insulated with TUFF-N-DRI® and Storm Block 4000®. The two-step process relieves hydrostatic pressure on basement walls, resulting in a warmer, drier basement that is guaranteed for years.
	Water-saving toilets and low-flow faucets cut down on water consumption and save on usage costs.
	Our engineered flooring system and wood products like oriented strand board (OSB) do not require large, old trees for their manufacture.  Both are resource efficient and enhance durability.
	Aristokraft® Cabinets demonstrate an ongoing commitment to environmental practices and sustainability.   Aristokraft is aligned with the National Association of Home Builders’ Green Home Building Guidelines that employ the use of environmentally responsible materials in cabinet products and minimize the environmental impact by recycling wastes and using low emission coatings.
